The PROSPECT+ team met in person for the 1st time!

News

After 1 year of intense work and online meetings, the H2020 PROSPECT+ project partners had the chance to meet in-person for the first time in a physical meeting that took place on the 13th and 14th of October 2022, in Brussels, Belgium. The meeting aimed at gathering all the partners together, to discuss key results of the project so far, highlight the lessons learnt from the 1st Learning Cycle (LC) and plan the next steps in view of the second LC starting in November.

During the meeting, presentations focused, on the main outcomes of the first LC based on the feedback received from mentees, mentors and facilitators. As displayed in the graph below the PROSPECT+ project was able to engage a total of 29 local authorities and energy agencies and more than 39 participants from 16 different countries.

In addition, the first interim results of the PROSPECT+ SWOT analysis conducted by TEESlab, based on the responses received from the participants of the first LC, were presented. The overall aim of this analysis is to provide a list of barriers and drivers that emerge in local sustainable energy projects and identify the most relevant ones in terms of importance.

Our adelphi partners provided a detailed overview of the Financial Readiness Tool, which aims to assess the financial maturity of the planned sustainable energy projects. The tool is available to all PROSPECT+ mentees.

The next steps regarding the PROSPECT+ Community of Practice, led by Eurocities, were also discussed. The members of this community will be invited to join various online meetings and webinars where they will be able to hear and talk about the most interesting examples of best practices from PROSPECT+ mentors and mentees.

Discussions among partners focused also on the received applications for the upcoming Learning Cycle 2 and on important issues to be considered before the launch of the cycle.
