IAM COMPACT: 1st General Assembly succesfully completed!

News

The 1st General Assembly of the HORIZON EUROPE IAM COMPACT project was completed successfully on Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th of February! IAM COMPACT brings together an international consortium of researchers and modelling teams to support the design of a multi-dimensional set of climate and energy policies beyond 2030 for major emitters and non-high-income countries.

During the two-day meeting, all 22 partners and members of the Scientific Advisory Board got together reviewing and discussing progress and achievements accomplished so far, as well as next steps, strategy and targets for the coming period. It was particularly great for everyone to present workplans, to collaborate and to connect in meaningful ways beyond our daily tasks.

For TEESlab – Technoeconomics of Energy Systems laboratory, it was a great opportunity to present and report on the range of the planned activities implemented within the IAM COMPACT’s Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation strategy, and their outcomes over the first 6 months of the project’s lifetime. To that end, Dr Vassilis Stavrakas and Sophia Theodoropoulou conducted a thorough presentation on the communication plan to be employed for the entire duration of the IAM COMPACT project, highlighting the efforts to establish a strong web and social media presence for the IAM COMPACT project, and reflecting on improvement steps to guide future success
