On November 25, 2024, our team had the opportunity of participating in a significant event co-organised by Greenpeace Greece and the Institute for European Energy and Climate Policy Foundation (IEECP) in the of Corinth.
The event aimed to raise awareness among citizens, organisations, and stakeholders about the implications of recent plans and political decisions to expand the natural gas distribution network to the Region of Peloponnese in Greece, with a spotlight on the Municipality of Corinth, also highlighting alternative solutions to fossil fuels, which could not only be sustainable and environmentally friendly, but also economically and socially beneficial.
Representing our team, Dr. Vassilis Stavrakas delivered an insightful presentation on alternative energy transition pathways in the residential sector of Corinth and the broader Region of Peloponnese. His presentation emphasised the unique opportunities and challenges these alternatives face and strategies for their successful integration.

During the event, speakers engaged in constructive dialogue with citizens and representatives from local authorities, about the political decision to expand the natural gas distribution network in the region as well as alternative solutions to natural gas.
