ENCLUDE 5th General Assembly: Shaping the future impact of our project!

News

The 5th General Assembly of the Horizon 2020 ENCLUDE project took place on the 14th November 2023 in Skopja North Macedonia. The General Assembly gathered the ENCLUDE partners to discuss the progress of the activities implemented and plan the next steps for the final year of the project.

Our TEESlab – Technoeconomics of Energy Systems laboratory team leads the activities of the assessment of the impact of energy citizenship on decarbonisation pathways.

During the meeting, Dr. Alexandros Flamos and Nikos Kleanthis presented the four different models (ATOM, DREEM, OSeMOSYS-GR, IMAGE) that will explore the multi-scale relationship between various forms of energy citizenship and the decarbonisation potential of the energy system at the local, regional, and national levels.

The discussion focused on potential interlinkages between different types of methodologies, such as citizen clustering and creation of energy scenarios. In addition, partners engaged in discussions regarding the project’s contribution to a joint event with sister projects, the organisation of a policy session in the context of the European Sustainable Energy Week 2024 as well as next steps regarding the final event that will take place in 2024.
