Mr. Vassilis Stavrakas, Senior Research Associate at the Technoeconomics of Energy Systems laboratory (TEESlab), participated in the “Fighting and Adapting to Climate Change“ Policy Co-Creation Workshop, organized in the context of the European Commission-funded Horizon 2020 project IMPACT-SC5, to present key findings and lessons learnt from our previous Horizon 2020 project TRANSrisk.

While TRANSrisk may have ended, the challenge for improved understanding of the interactions between climate change impacts and risks, mitigation and adaptation options still remains.

A new integrated framework that will bring together quantitative and qualitative analysis to further explore the interaction, complementarity, and trade-offs between mitigation and adaptation measures and policies, to overcome the silo approach within and between them, is now more important than ever.

TRANSrisk partners will continue developing new ideas to shed light on this complex nexus.
