What Personal Data We Collect and Why We Collect It

TEESlab respects its website users’ privacy and acknowledges its obligation to protect any collected Personal Data according to the European Regulation 2016/679 and Law 3471/2006, when visiting or using the services provided on our website. In doing so, TEESlab collects and process only data that is essential for this website to function and to facilitate and improve its users/visitors access and browsing experience.

As part of this procedure, in accordance with common practices on the internet, TEESlab’s website uses cookies for its basic functionality as well as an analytics service that gathers aggregate traffic data.

In specific circumstances, TEESlab may collect and processes its website visitors/users’ personal data, such as name/surname and contact details (mainly e-mail address), only when they provide it directly and at their own discretion. Such cases may include website visitor/user voluntary communication via the website contact form, or any account data submitted by the account owner.

In all these or similar circumstances, the consent of the data subjects serves as the legal basis for the lawfulness of processing any Personal Data, so a simple visit to the website does not necessarily mean that any such information is automatically gathered and processed by TEESlab. However, this is not applicable for the data collected by means of cookies for the website’s basic functionality.

Contact Form

TEESlab offers its website visitors and users of its online services the ability to contact us directly, through an electronic contact form. The name/surname and email address are the only necessary contact details on the user’s behalf and they, as well as their contact form message and the optional subject, are processed based on their consent, which is provided with their positive action when submitting a message/request and for receiving a response. However, any website visitor/user has the right to revoke their consent at any time, in accordance with the GDPR.

When using the TEESlab’s contact form or sending an email, the website visitor/user’s submitted data is only retained for relevant communication purposes and will not be processed in any other way. If the visitor/user wishes for their data to be erased at any point, they may exercise their right to erasure (right to be forgotten).

Social Media Communication

With official accounts on three social media sites – LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube – TEESlab encourages its website visitor/users to like, share, and comment on posts in order to foster an open dialogue with respect to differing viewpoints. TEESlab is not required to monitor anything posted by unaffiliated users on third-party platforms, though it works to maintain a safe online environment.

In that regard, any content that is judged to be against the terms of use of the website, such as offensive, obscene, pornographic, threatening, advertising, or intellectual property that infringes upon or contains false information about a visitor/user, may be removed by the administrators of TEESlab’s social media accounts, where possible. They also reserve the right to bar users from contributing such content.

Should you find any user-generated content on TEESlab’s social media accounts that is offensive or against terms of use, you may contact TEESlab’s administrators.
