This video is the second one from a series of short videos developed in the context of the European Commission-funded Horizon 2020 project “ENCLUDE”. The video adds to the presentation of a series of different modelling applications involving a diverse set of energy system models and case studies across the European Union to quantify the decarbonisation impact of different manifestations of energy citizenship at the local, the regional, and the national levels.
In this video, we introduce a novel framework for transformative scenario design, exploring social innovations of energy citizenship and different potential futures. By integrating diverse uncertainties and embracing the complexity of the energy landscape at the local, the regional, the national, and even the European levels, this innovative approach could support the design of pathways towards decarbonisation in several sectors (e.g., power, residential).
