The LOCATEE project has released a new set of factsheets summarising key findings from its in-depth analysis of energy poverty in Europe, with a particular focus on multi-apartment buildings (MABs). The factsheets are available in English, Greek, Portuguese, and Polish, supporting accessibility for a wide range of local and regional stakeholders.
The factsheets are based on our recent report “Understanding energy poverty at the local level and the role of multi-apartment buildings”, which lays the conceptual foundation for the LOCATEE approach. The report reviews EU, national, and local policy frameworks, and highlights barriers such as poor building performance, fragmented ownership and decision-making, financing gaps, and limited municipal capacity that constrain effective energy poverty alleviation.
The factsheets aim to support local authorities, practitioners, and policymakers in better understanding the specific challenges of addressing energy poverty in multi-apartment buildings and in designing more effective, inclusive, and context-sensitive interventions.
