This presentation includes a modelling exercise that analyses the performance of European residential buildings in 8 countries (Greece, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Romania, Latvia France, and Ireland) and the energy saving potential of nine (9) different energy-efficiency measures (EEMs), assessing also their cost-effectiveness.
The results indicate the replacement of an old heating system with a heat pump system as one of the most cost-effective measures and the replacement of the traditional diesel boiler with a more energy-efficient one as the least cost-effective measure in most cases.
