Vassilis Stavrakas

Vassilis Stavrakas holds a Bachelor (B.Sc.) and a Master (M.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) – (8.36/10 equivalent to first – 5% ranking according to academic performance). He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Alexandros Flamos and is working as a Research Associate at the Techno-economics of Energy Systems laboratory (TEESlab) and the Institute of European Energy and Climate Policy (IEECP), participating in EC funded projects. He is also a Teaching Assistant (TA) at the University of Piraeus, teaching Operations Research II, Engineering Economics and Techno-economics of Energy Systems. His research profile focuses on Computer Science and Optimization Methods, Sustainable Energy Systems Modeling, Climate Change Mitigation Options (CCMOs) and Game Theory. He has several publications in high-impact International scientific journals and announcements at international conferences.
