Serafeim Michas

Serafeim Michas is a PhD researcher at the Technoeconomics of Energy Systems Laboratory (TEESlab) at the University of Piraeus. He holds a master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). His main research background is on energy systems modelling, decarbonization pathways of energy systems, analysis of the socio-economic implications of energy transitions, the development of decision support tools for the assessment of policy measures’ effectiveness under contextual uncertainties, and machine learning applications. His educational background includes knowledge of several programming languages (C, C#, Python), engineering software (SolidWorks, AutoCad), and modelling software (MATLAB, Simulink). He is currently participating in the EC funded Horizon 2020 projects “TIPPING+”, “SENTINEL” and “ENSMOV”.
