Serafeim Michas is a PhD researcher at the Technoeconomics of Energy Systems Laboratory (TEESlab) at the University of Piraeus. He holds a master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). His main research background is on energy systems modelling, decarbonization pathways of energy systems, technoeconomic analysis of financing mechanisms in the energy and power markets, the development of decision support tools for the assessment of incentive-based policy measures in capital intensive markets, and machine learning applications. His educational background includes knowledge of several programming languages (C, C#, Python), engineering software (SolidWorks, AutoCad), and modelling software (MATLAB, Simulink). He is currently participating in the EC funded Horizon 2020 projects “CARISMA” and “TRANSrisk”.
